SODIS Water Disinfecting

The SODIS (SOlar DISinfection) method uses the UV rays in sunlight to disinfect water to make it potable. Ordinary plastic bottles are used.

While not the most efficient or quickest, it certainly is a trusted method. And given there's very little required for material (and that no power or fuel is needed), it's a great method to add to your arsenal of weapons against the tiny critters that can infect your water.
