Magazine Cut-Out Collage! Blood Diamonds

Hey loves!

It was been a minute! I got a new collage video for you all! I didn't have a set plan for this collage, instead it developed as I worked on it. You can see from the video that I was originally going for visual aesthetics with this piece but then turned it into an environmentally responsible awareness piece.

The diamond and jewelry industry has employed mining methods that destroy ecosystems and habitats resulting in detrimental conditions for already endangered animals, local populations and the local environment. Some of them also employ ethically questionable labor practices that we shouldn't support.

Next time you buy jewelry, consider buying from socially responsible brands and/or opt out for stones/gifts that don't have such a negative impact on people and the environment.
