HO Circus and Amusement Park Train Layout

Cayeland began operating in 1990. The park ran with just 4 rides and a streetcar for the first year. The large ferris wheel and carousel are original rides that are still operating.
Over the 20 plus years since then, rides were added and some removed as the park expanded to include a lower level that was originally a small town. As in all parks, a few rides
are occasionally down for maintenance.

Some rides were built from kits by Faller and International Hobby Corp. The park train ride is an "N" scale Bachmann with gondolas modified to carry passengers. Later additions
include rides from Mr. Christmas.

The train is a 1940 Lionel "00" gauge and vehicles in the display date back to 1960. The present scene depicts an emergency landing of the Goodyear Blimp in the park, near a
replica of the Statue of Liberty, thus the response of emergency vehicles coming up the hill to the park.
