There’s one note I love to target when I’m soloing over minor chords and it's not an obvious choice.

In other words it’s not the Root, Third or Fifth.

In fact it’s not even the Sixth!

The note that really goes for the musical jugular over D Minor is C#. Which is the Major 7th.

It sounds super cool and will always make your lines sound interesting!
