Jane and John Claudius Loudon's home and garden in Porchester Terrace

Jane and John Claudius Loudon made a fascinating garden for their London home. The back garden has been built over but the house, which JC Loudon designed, survives in good condition and so do the front and side gardens. They were a devoted couple and, as well as a daughter, parented the first illustrated histories of gardening and of garden design. With the 200th anniversary of the publication of the first edition of Loudon's Encyclopedia of Gardening in 2022, it would would be a wonderful opportunity for the owner (who is a patron of the arts) to restore the Loudon's designs for the surviving area of the garden.
