The December 3 insurrection attempt was stopped by citizens who remembered Gwangju. In other words, the past saved the present.

Yet there are still people who claim that the May 18 Gwangju uprising was an insurrection instigated by North Korea. Germany firmly punishes those who deny Auschwitz.

It has been 46 years since May 18 in Gwangju. There should be zero tolerance for denying it.
