The rarest animals in the world are often reptiles. Some of these species are found only in very small pockets of small regions if small countries. Of course the rare and expensive reptile species are also some of the most unique, amazing and down right wicked. Take the Chinese Crocodile Lizard for example. This species has less than 200 adult individuals in Viet Nam alone. Amazingly low numbers for any species. But what a unique and crazy looking species! Fiji banded iguanas are another species that are absolutely show stopping with that pattern, the crest and vibrant colors. Although an illegal reptile species in The United States, they are legal in the UK, Canada and many other countries. Northland Green Geckos from New Zealand are super expensive reptiles but man, they are so cool! These little Pokémon looking animals are insane and so cool! Don't get caught smuggling this reptile though, it'll cost you a ton of money and a jail term too. Maybe the most unique lizard on the planet is the Borneo Earless Monitor. Not a real monitor at all but as the name suggests, no visible ears. These lizards look like dragons! The Perentie Monitor from Australia might not fit in your budget but if you could ever find one you'd stop just to look, for a long time! These monitor lizards are show stoppers!
