This album I won't listen to 10 more times but that doesn't mean you won't love it.

Mood and timing plays a big part.

Flock of Dimes ‘the Life You Save’
Very nice music is my initial impression.
That could go either way and not always a compliment.
Think it is in this case.
Not going to offend anyone but has a soul that drags you straight in.
The openers a solid 7/10 with nice production and she has a great voice.
In no hurry, the comminish blend of folk, americana and pop rock.
Not scared of a bit of electronics either.
Got the sound of Haim or Maria Mckee, even a but Tracey Chapmany.
Hasn’t the indieness of Waxhatatchee or Big Thief and its missed.
Track 2 suggest there is not going to be any major change in direction.
Even more safe if anything.
Track 3 has a little bounce with the steel guitar but soon tune out.
Then it drags on as expected.
I do know not every music has to be edgy and ground breaking.
But if its not I at least want the songs to hit and these don’t really.
The Florry album as an example of music that is same house but a much more interesting street.
All in all just the wrong side of not interesting and see nothing in it I want to hear again.
