Lugansky - Debussy, Suite Bergamasque

Claude Debussy (1862–1918)
Suite Bergamasque, L. 82 (1890-1905)
Nikolai Lugansky, 2010

[0:00] No. 1 - Prélude. Moderato (Tempo rubato)
[4:20] No. 2 - Menuet. Andantino
[8:30] No. 3 - Clair de lune. Andante très expressif
[14:20] No. 4 - Passepied. Allegretto ma non troppo

No. 1/3 are from a 2012 rebroadcast. To complete the suite I could only find a version of “blur” originally aired in 2010. I strung the pearls for the best of it😓.
“As the creator of the original and innovative piano style, Debussy often took inspiration from the genres, forms and techniques of ancient music (in this cycle it is Prélude, Menuet and Passepied). The revival of ancient genres is an important direction in Debussy's work, as is of Maurice Ravel - another brilliant impressionist. In this sense, Debussy's Bergamasque Suite can be called one of the precursors of neoclassicism of the 1st half of the 20th century.”
