First gather all your hair into a ponytail at the top of your head with one elastic. then pull and loosen hair piece by piece on top and sides of head to create messy volume.

tighten your pony tail up as you go after you pull out pieces. also make sure and pull a few tendrils out around your face.

Then put the donut around the base of the ponytail. make sure the ponytail is going through the center of the donut. then wrap your ponytail around the donut holding hair in place to make sure it covers the donut. leave the ends out and secure the bun with the elastic all the way around the donut.

then proceed to pull out pieces carefully to add volume, height and messiness to the bun. continue until desired effect and fullness achieved!
