Gluten update - I had some blood work done back in aus and the results were suggestive of coeliac disease. I was advice to organise a biopsy. I was also advised that would take about a year in Australia. But seeing as I’ve moved back overseas, I could potentially find something sooner.
Upon a further look into my results they are low for coeliac and high for general autoimmune which makes sense as I already have 2. Raynaud and scleroderma. However it’s still wise to test for coeliac.
At first I thought maybe it’d be a year before a biopsy and I’d be able to go gluten free for a while and then reintroduce it months before the biopsy as you NEED to be consuming gluten for a biopsy.
Anyway, I may be able to have one sooner so I might as well continue to consume gluten and just get it done when I can.
