The Color of Pomegranates is a poetic film Reflects the life of Poet Sayat Nova an 18th century Georgian born Armenian poet. The film evokes the past through culture arts and crafts that in the filmmaker's own words must have informed Sayat Nova as a poet. Parajanov seeks to create a film that reflects the inner world of a poet through crafting beautiful poetic images through Stunning tableueaxs while incorporating cinematic elements such as movement and editing.
