Valerie has a very touching story and is a beautiful soul. Her story shares insight on why children who suffer abuse often find themselves in abusive relationships

As an adopted child, Valerie lived through verbal abuse from her adopted mother and sexual abuse from her adopted father. She then found herself in an abusive marriage, after ending a healthy relationship because it was missing the chaos of abuse that she equated with love due to the abuse she suffered as a child. When she finally leaves her husband the courts continually give the children to him despite his drug addiction and sexual abuse of them.
