Maximinus Thrax - The Giant Emperor

As we examine the faces of the past, we focus on one of the strangest of Roman emperors, Maximinus Thrax, who didn't belong to the traditional patrician, aristocratic class of ancient Rome, but from a remote province of the empire, Thrace, where is said to have been a shepherd before enlisting in the army, eventually becoming the first soldier who rose through the ranks to become Roman emperor.
