The Theme Park History of Expedition Everest (Disney's Animal Kingdom)

Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain is a steel roller coaster that opened at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on April 7th, 2006. Themed around the Yeti protecting the Forbidden Mountain next to Mount Everest, the attraction costed 100 million dollars, making it the most expensive roller coaster in the world. In this episode we explore the early years of Animal Kingdom and the decision to bring Everest to life, the construction of the roller coaster, and the problems the Yeti has become over the years.
