Starting to Draw? PART 4: Three Things to Do
This is the fourth of my art tutorials on starting to draw for absolute beginners. In this video I am going to bring together all the elements covered in the previous three easy drawing tutorials; curves, lines, tone, shading, creating depth and using the pencil. I am drawing three paint brushes in a pot each one drawn with a different pencil, HB, 2B and 8B. The drawing is a still life drawing. This method helps to create different tones and therefore creates depth in the drawing, because darker lines look closer than lighter lines.
Lines, curves (plus a link to understanding eye level) tone and shading are also covered to create a three-dimensional drawing. This technique is ideal for still life drawing but can be applied to any type of drawing.
This video is aimed at beginners, students and anyone else wanting to improve their drawing skills and learn to draw.
