On My Own - Ann Darrow (King Kong 2005)

One of my earliest King Kong ideas! This video takes place after the movie. After King Kong is gone, Ann tries to recreate the time she spent with him, imagining he is still with her. The stars represent her escape into a wonderful, free world where they are together always, and he is watching over her. But like all dreams, it cannot last....

The song is "On My Own" from Les Miserables (10th Anniversary), sung by Lea Salonga.

I worked so hard to make the stars twinkle and sparkle! Only last fall did I feel like I was capable of pulling off that effect, LOL. It was something I really wanted to try for this video, to give it the feeling of a special, alternate world.
