How the Command Line Assistant affects RHCSA and RHCE exams

The Command Line Assistant (CLA) is a powerful tool, but will it be available when you sit for a Red Hat certification exam like the RHCSA or RHCE? Today the answer is no, because the exam environment does not provide internet access, which CLA currently requires. I spoke with the Red Hat training and certification team, including the manager responsible for these exams, about the long-term plan. They explained that once CLA can run locally without relying on external internet, they will reassess its use in exams. That way, they can control the model, ensure consistency, and avoid disadvantaging candidates. In this episode, we explain what that means for exam prep and what you can expect in the future.
