Fireland Dogs (‘Perros del Fin del Mundo’) is set in the context of an imbalance that threatens the people and way of life of Tierra del Fuego. It shows how dogs, abandoned to their fate by irresponsible owners, become increasingly feral as they regress toward their ancestral wolf state.

In the island’s countryside the farmers must counter the conduct of these dogs, that are rapidly killing off their sheep flocks, and increasingly affect wildlife and the ecosystem. Each farm has its own strategy, the battle for survival taking on different characteristics… as farmers try to defend their livelihood.

The film is about how man is dealing with this new and fearsome reality, which threatens his way of life and yet is entirely of his own making.
