This is the photography tip I wish someone had told me right at the very beginning  📷

Before you touch a single dial, ask yourself: how fast is my subject moving?If your subject is still eg. a portrait, a landscape, a product shot your shutter speed can be slower. That means more light hits the sensor, which means your ISO can stay lower and your image stays cleaner.

If your subject is moving eg. a runner, a moving car then you'll need a faster shutter speed to freeze that movement cleanly. And once that's decided, everything else builds around it. Need more light? Open the aperture. Still not enough? Bring the ISO up.

Start with the subject. Let the subject tell you the shutter speed. Let the shutter speed guide everything else.

Now you have a plan to use the exposure triangle easily!That's all 5 tips. Manual mode. Light. Backlighting. Observation. And now, exposure built around your subject.
