Seth Rolland Inspired Serving Tray
Tray now available on Etsy:

Hi everyone! In this video I will be making a fine woodworking serving tray. I had two inspirations for this piece, the first being Seth Rolland’s work (which I love) and Japanese style woodwork and architecture! The tray is made from soft maple (which is harder than it sounds) and the base is MDF veneered with cherry. Instead of kerfing the open ends like Seth Rolland does, I actually laminated them. I finished the tray with Chestnut products lemon oil (Which smell’s fantastic) and I added a water-repellent protective layer over with Microcrystalline wax. I hope you enjoy this video! Feel free to like, comment, share and subscribe!
