Engineering in Action (Teacher PD)

Hands-on learning during a science/NGSS professional development.
Our challenge: build a tower using only note cards that could support the weight of a stuffed animal for 10 seconds.
We folded and stacked the cards to create a stable structure, then held our breath as the bunny was placed on top… and it held!
Activities like this model engineering, problem-solving, and collaboration — exactly the kind of learning we want students to experience in our classrooms.
Teacher PD that we can actually use. 🙌🏽
