Irene Villa is a Spanish author and journalist who became a political figure after losing both legs in an ETA (terrorism group) attack in Madrid at the age of 12.
Irene affirms that she doesn't feel to be a victim and she says that "there is no time for hatred, because there is no peace without forgiveness". Today she is a renowned journalist, an elite athlete (she has won several medals worldwide in adapted skiing) and mother of three children.
With her we talked about the hope and the strength that teach us to overcome the hardest setbacks in life, we reflected on the testimony of someone who may have lost everything and how optimism and eagerness to overcome can let you get over the barriers that life put you ahead.

Irene Villa es una autora y periodista española que se convirtió en figura política después de perder las dos piernas en un ataque de ETA (grupo terrorista) en Madrid a la edad de 12 años.
Irene afirma no sentirse víctima nunca y que "no hay tiempo para el odio, porque no hay paz sin perdón". A día de hoy es una reputada periodista, deportista de élite (ha obtenido varias medallas a nivel mundial en esquí adaptado) y madre de tres hijos.
Con ella hablaremos sobre la esperanza y la fuerza que nos enseñan a superar los reveses más duros en la vida, reflexionaremos sobre el testimonio de alguien que pudo haberlo perdido todo y de cómo el optimismo y afán de superación le han permitido vencer las barreras que la vida le ha puesto por delante.
