PHYS 130 Optics Part 4: Aberrations
Video lecture for PHYS 130 at the University of Alberta. When building precision, optical instruments some of the approximations which are made when dealing with lenses and spherical mirrors do not work leading to defects in the image produced which are called aberrations. Here we discuss and demonstrate two such effects: spherical and chromatic aberrations.
