Troops Intensify Security Across North-East for Eid Celebrations

The Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East), Operation Hadin Kai, has issued a security advisory ahead of the Eid al-Adha celebrations to ensure a safe and secure environment across the region.

According to a statement by the Media Information Officer, Lt. Colonel Sani Uba, the advisory follows credible intelligence on planned attacks by Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province terrorists.

The theatre command says troops have already been deployed to critical and vulnerable locations, while surveillance, intelligence, and reconnaissance operations have been intensified in coordination with other security agencies.

Residents are advised to observe Eid prayers and festivities close to their homes and familiar environments, avoid large gatherings, crowded markets, motor parks, and banking halls, while remaining vigilant throughout the festive period.
