Today we are at universal studios Orlando Florida to celebrate Mardi Gras! We are finally returning as annual passholders to universal studios Orlando Florida, and signed up to be in a Mardi Gras float during the Mardi Gras parade. We start off our day going through the entrance and showing some of the Mardi Gras festivities that are happening around the park in universal studios. We get some food to sample, and look at some of the performers dancing in the street. The foods we try are a potato spiral covered hotdog with chili cheese sauce, and then some beignets. After the beignets we taste a king cake. After eating, we head to the check-in to get our float assignment and see where we will be during the Mardi Gras parade at Universal Studios. How did this happen? We signed up for the Mardi Gras float experience as an added benefit to annual passholders, and were surprised when they said we were assigned to the king and queen float. Once we got our float assignment, we went to the wardrobe section, and were informed that we were going to be the king and queen of the Mardi Gras parade. We put on our outfits, and waited for the rules and intricacies of our float assignment. Once the parade started, we were tossing beads and giving you a Birdseye view of what it’s like to ride on a float in the Mardi Gras parade at Universal Studios Orlando Florida.
