Grinding a Magnetic Chuck Flat on a Surface Grinder

I recently acquired a new to me Brown & Sharpe compound sine plate with a magnetic chuck. Before using it the first time, I wanted to grind the top of the magnetic chuck perfectly flat on my surface grinder to make sure that I am starting from a known flat and true surface. This is the process I used to grind the chuck flat.
