We cut a walnut tree in a local yard next to the woods. We wanted it to fall in the yard, rather than into the woods and it almost went well. Notch may have been too small. Blade must have been dull. Blade may have been too short.
Three videos were interlaced in the editing to show different angles as the cutting proceeded. Just an experiment, so do not fret over an experiment of the video, especially if you would choose to do it differently.

Final cut left too much in the hinge and a major barber chair resulted. The walnut tree laid kind of gently onto the ground, though the bottom wonderful log got split into two.

My friend was lucky to not get hit and he realizes that.

We already cut some beautiful boards out of the lower (split log) section using the Woodmizer LT35.
