I sincerely hope you enjoy this unusual rendition of a traditional carol. I love to accompany my wife's choir in a few songs every Christmas and spring for their concerts. She took them on a trip to Cuba a few years ago as part of a cultural exchange and after one of their concerts there, in a beautiful old Spanish colonial church, the local choir director ran out to the bus and gave my wife a book of Cuban Christmas carol arrangements by Andres Alen, of which this is one. Our friend Rachel Fuller is playing the solo soprano saxophone part; Judy Melny, piano ; Barbara Prowse, director ; Jenn Abbot, assistant director, sticks ; me, bass.
