Simon the Zealot | Whatever it Takes

Simon the Zealot is one of those twelve disciples that no one ever talks about, even in the Bible. I didn't know much about Simon until I watched The Chosen, and since then has become one of my favorite characters. A man who abandoned his family, all that he believed in, and became a rebel destined to proclaim some "glorious purpose" for a Messiah that might never come in his lifetime. He trained his whole life; he was the best. But what he didn't realize, is that the Messiah had not come here to start a revolution to free people from a dictatorship, but a spiritual revolution to free people from sin, where His message would be stronger than any knife Simon was skilled with. Jesus didn't need Simon or his skill as a warrior, but He wanted him anyways....whatever it took.
