This will save you time, money, and potential conflict over IP ownership in the future.

When using a JDA, you should address the following types of IP:

Background IP: The IP developed by each party before the commencement of the relationship.
Foreground IP: The IP developed during the relationship.
Post-ground IP: The IP developed after the relationship ends.
Side-ground IP: The IP developed during the relationship, but unrelated to the project that forms the basis of the relationship.
