Tapasya 41 - Students' progress in the eyes of parents (Part 1)

This episode features a few students and their parents who tell us their observations about the progress of their kids during the course of the WhatsApp Virtual classes. Also in this episode is a demo of how to tie a Dupatta for dance and a glimpse of this year's simple Vijayadasami Pooja at SDN. Natesha Kauthvam, learnt by Shrinidhi and Meenakshi in the virtual classes, is also presented in this episode.

We all know that our kids' physical activities have reduced/ been restricted due to this pandemic. SDN’s lockdown video sessions are the main source of physical activity for my kids which helps them to keep their mind and physique fit.

These sessions help them to understand even the minute nuances of their positives & negatives with respect to dance. As kids have their video clips with them, they are easily able to understand the teacher’s correction and do better. Being a part of SDN, my kids have definitely shown improvement even during this lockdown with Sheela mam’s constant and continuous support as always. The lockdown video sessions have created a systematic life style despite the pandemic and has made my kids more inclined towards this beautiful art form. Meenakshi - my 10 year old daughter, who is the youngest of my kids, has learnt the art of planning her day. Thank you SDN and Pranams to Sheela mam for this initiative.

Tapasya - the training sessions, is a series of videos that will be published on a monthly basis (as episodes) on the last day of every month.

The students featuring in Tapasya series have about 6-8 classes every month. Each episode of Tapasya is a cumulative overview of what is taught to them during the course of the month.

Along with the training sessions of the children, Tapasya also holds inputs on teaching techniques from Smt. Sheela Unnikrishnan and useful tips from the regular performers of Sridevi Nrithyalaya.

We honestly work hard and spend a good time and amount of our resources to produce our music and dance videos. They are produced and uploaded in our social platforms solely to take our art to all those raiskas around the globe who are unable to reach us in person to enjoy SDN's art live.

It is not about 'misuse' or 'trying to support' our dance and audio productions by just giving credits. Art is for all for sure. Our productions uploaded in social platforms are for the art lovers worldwide to WATCH and ENJOY but definitely not for copying or reproducing without SDNT's authorisation.
