When we are seen as nothing but an annoyance

Whilst cleaning the lion enclosure alongside of Beau & Taai, we get to feel their contempt towards us simple humans, for being in territory where normally, there are lions. (At Love Lions Alive Sanctuary, we always move the lions into secure management areas before cleaning enclosures).
A lion's body language, shows lesser animals (and other lions), to back off, this is the territory of that mighty lion.
Tail flicking, deep grumbling growl, facial grimacing and displays of marking are all used to intimidate the lesser being. The only thing we are not seeing here is scraping and clawing at the ground. We will share an example of that behaviour in a video with Mandla (who never fails to charge and paw the ground aggressively. Because he is Mandla the Powerful!)

Taai and Beau are extraordinarily loving to one another. Lions are physically demonstrative and gregarious animals. We will show you that loving behaviour between these two lions in another clip. But today, as we are cutting grass, they are understandably, not exhibiting that type of lion behaviour.
