How to design macOS Big Sur style icons in Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD

In this video, I’ll show you how to design icons in the UI style of Apple’s new MacOS Big Sur using Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD. I’ll walkthrough how you can create the new messages icon, but the techniques I use can be applied to upgrade any flat design icon to the textured, 3-D, neumorphic, however you want to call it style of MacOS Big Sur.

Visual design is something I’m constantly working to level up, and seeing all the new Big Sur style icons that were shared by designers inspired me to get better and learn how to create this icon style myself. Excited to share my recreation, and it was surprisingly less complicated to design than I thought. Glad to have added a new skill to my toolkit!
