🎹 In the parts production department of our Hamburg factory, Jan-Ole Pensky passionately creates the basic framework of our Steinway grand pianos.

🪵 In the process, he provides the rim with 'spreaders,' which provide a stabilizing function to absorb the enormous tensile forces. As a carpenter, he is enthusiastic about working with pure, solid, high-quality woods, as well as the challenge of craftsmanship with chisels and hand planes, which are rarely employed nowadays.
