Hello and Welcome to BookkeepingLife and your ultimate guide to starting your own bookkeeping business.

My name is Steve Crisler and I've been doing bookkeeping for about 20 years now, and working for myself for the last 17 of those. I operate out of my home in San Diego County.

In this video, I tell you a bit about who I am, how my life was before starting my own bookkeeping business, how my life has been since starting my own bookkeeping business, and 3 common myths about starting a bookkeeping business.

Despite common belief, you do not need a formal education to start a bookkeeping business, you do not need a college degree or an accounting/bookkeeping background. You can learn as you go, and I teach you how and give you all you need.

Also, you do not need a lot of money to get started. In fact, you probably already have everything you need to get it going and grow it.

And you do not need to quit your current job in order to start a bookkeeping business. You can do this on the side, and grow it to however big or small you'd like. Yes, you can grow it to a point where you can quit your job and do it full-time, or if you want to keep your job and make extra money on the side, you can do that it. It's completely scalable to your desired level of business.
