An Alpha Golden Retriever Tries to Take Over a Dog Park

Today Winston, Nevaeh and I were hanging out a a dog park, and a large Golden Retriever came in and decided he was supposed to run the dog park. He marked his territory (by urinating) more than any dog I have ever seen. He used body language to make the point that he was taking over that territory.

When Winston was looking up in a tree trying to find a bird, or a squirrel, the Golden got in between him, and the tree, and marked his territory and then tried to run Winston off.

Winston didn't take kindly to the demand so he tried to check him. I was about 30 yards away from them when Winston got serious, so I called Winston and made sure the situation was under my control.

Then the Golden came closer to me and tried to make his point right in front of me. Winston did not like how close he got to me, so he stood his ground and stared tried to stare the Golden down.

Eventually they both took several steps back and the Golden continued on his imperialistic journey. Eventually Winston told the Golden he has to go through him to get to his destination, so he decided to find somewhere else to conquer.

After that an Australian Cattle Dog puppy tried to get chased by my Husky Nevaeh. Winston saw that and tried to win Nevaeh over by grooming her and bitting the fleas he thinks she always has.

Eventually Nevaeh got tired of the pup and growled a little and then chased her off.
