It's unclear what games are "in incubation" but the abrupt announcement once again leaves Bungie that was acquired for over 3.5 billion dollars by Sony in dire straits as layoffs are imminent.

From an outsider's perspective, it was very clear that Destiny 2 was on its last legs but understandably emotions are high and people are still reeling from the news.
