Tudor Pelagos FXD Marine Nationale 25707b/22 Unboxing & Presentation Video

An unboxing and presentation video of the highly sought-after Tudor Pelagos FXD "Marine Nationale" reference 25707b/22 released in November 2021.

The Pelagos FXD is a special edition (not limited) timepiece of the regular Tudor Pelagos reference 25600TB.

The watch was released in partnership with the French Navy, Marine Nationale, and is a nod to Tudor's close relationship with the French navy in the 1950s and onwards. Back in the day, Tudor delivered the Submariner references 7922 and 7924 to the Marine national. Later on, Tudor started supplying the reference 7928.

The watch has been designed according to military specifications and needs - specifically for combat divers.

Whilst the Tudor Pelagos FXD is based on the regular 25600TB, it has a lot of differences.

The case, the dial, the specifications, the bezel, the movement, and the dimensions have all been revised.

Because the Marine Nationale frogmen don’t need a deep dive watch, but instead prefer a thinner case, the water resistance was reduced to 200m.

The Pelagos FXD has fixed strap bars - a nod to those that were once used on mil-spec watches. But instead of just soldering the spring bars, Tudor has integrated the lug design into the case where both the case and the lugs are milled from a single block of titanium. This also ensures that the spring bars do not break.

A key difference from the standard Pelagos is the fact that it has a bidirectional bezel with a retrograde, countdown, graduation from 60 to 0. The reason for this has to do with the work of the Marine Nationale frogmen. Their job predominantly consists of underwater navigation and reaching a precise location by sea without surfacing. As such, it is not intended to be used as a classic dive watch bezel.
