In this world anyone who showed any kind of spiritual insanity has always been persecuted. Mansoor al-Hallaj was also a Sufi saint. Know some aspects of his personality:

 

Mansoor al-Hallaj was one of the most controversial figures of Sufism. He claimed that 'I am the truth', which was considered anti-religion and due to this, he was sentenced to death with great cruelty at the age of fifty five. However true God-lovers understood what he meant to say, and he respected them very much, and still does today.
It is about those days when Mansoor was in Baghdad. He posed many controversial questions to his Sufi guru Junaid, but instead of answering, Junaid said, "There will come a time when you will put a red spot on a piece of wood."

He had hinted that one day Mansoor would be hanged on the gallows.

To this, Mansoor replied, 'When this happens, you will have to take off your Sufi Chola and wear the dress of a religious scholar.' This prophecy came true when the order for the death of Mansoor was prepared and signed by Junaid. Was asked Although Junaid did not want to sign, but the Khalifa of Baghdad insisted that Junaid would have to be signed. Well, Junaid took off his Sufi Chola and arrived at the Islamic Academy wearing a turban and tunic like a religious scholar. There, he signed the death decree saying, 'We are deciding about Mansoor Hallaj only on the basis of external truth. As far as inner truth is concerned, only God knows it.
After visiting Junaid, he traveled to many areas of Central Asia and Iran in a high spiritual state for the next five years. Both scholars and common people took to his teachings and discourses and praised him. Due to his sharp examination, he became known as 'Hallaj', the master of secrets. He went on a pilgrimage to Mecca from Basra, but here he was imprisoned by a magician. He then embarked on a journey to India and China, where he was recognized as an enlightened teacher.
