ZEEKR 001 First Look Exterior & Interior, An Exiting All-new EV Even Faster Than Porsche Taycan

The luxury EV brand Zeekr is from a Chinese automaker Geely Automobile. Zeekr 001 is its first EV model. It is not a LYNK & CO, but it looks like LYNK & Co. Zeekr cars are based on Geely's SEA EV platform. The Zeekr 001 measures in at (LxWxH) 4970mm, 1999mm, 1560mm with a wheelbase of 3005mm which gives a total luggage space of 2144 litres, one of the biggest in its class.

With performance at the core of the Zeekr brand image, the 001 has gained a top speed of over 200km/h whilst a 0-100km/h time of just 3.8 seconds has been achieved. In a reverse scenario under extreme braking conditions, 100km/h to 0 needs
just 34 meters.

The eMotors used on the front and rear axles offer a maximum output of 400Kw, creating over 700Nm of torque in an instant that can be equally spread to all four corners of the 001 in dynamic environments to guarantee traction and stability in all situations.

In addition to adjustable air suspension to improve ride height according to road conditions, the 001 will be able to tackle off-road trails with ease, giving users access to the great outdoors.

At launch, two battery packs will be offered to consumers; 86kWh and 100kWh. As well as bringing premium EV’s to market, Zeekr also aims to bring greater convenience to users with the introduction of a Zeekr charging network that will bring charging speeds of up to 360Kw, effectively giving the Zeekr 001 a range boost of 120km after just five minutes of charging.

The competitors are Mustang Mach-E and Tesla Model 3.

Zeekr cars will be sold via the internet only, with 'spaces' in big cities. Geely said the same about Lynk & Co but these cars are now being sold via a totally normal dealer network, at least in China.

Zeekr will also compete directly with Polestar and Volvo, and probably with Lotus, and to a lesser extend with Lynk & Co. What a mess. Poor old Geely doesn't need more brands, they need less.
