We all saw the leaks before the launch and now that I have tried all the varients. I have to say I really like what Rolex have done with this watch, especially when it comes to the movement (which personally it excites me)

Calibre 7135, a high frequency movement, which is actually an evolution of the calibre 7140, which we saw on the 1908 models.

One of the key highlights is the revolutionary regulating mechanism – escapement and oscillator – that enables it to beat at a frequency of 5 Hz, or 36,000 beats per hour, thereby measuring time to one tenth of a second.

There are 32 patents in the Land dweller, 16 of these patents are just for the movement.

It’s a work of art in simpler terms.

On the wrist the watch wears (40mm) so well on a 16.5 wrist and that bracelet is butter smooth on the wrist.

The whole package works so well overall and I’m looking forward to seeing this new technology trickle down to other rolex models (if that happens)
