Spring Is a Cat by Lee Jang-Hee

꽃가루와 같이 부드러운 고양이의 털에
[kkot-ga-ru-wa ga-chi bu-deu-reo-woon go-yang-i-ui teol-e]
In the soft fur of a cat, like flower pollen,

고운 봄의 향기가 어리우도다
[go-woon bom-ui hyang-gi-ga eo-ri-u-do-da]
The gentle scent of spring lingers.
금방울과 같이 호동그란 고양이의 눈에
[geum-bang-ul-gwa ga-chi ho-dong-geu-ran go-yang-i-ui nun-e]
In the round eyes of a cat, like golden beads,

미친 봄의 불길이 흐르도다
[mi-chin bom-ui bul-gil-i heu-reu-do-da]
The blazing fire of wild spring flows.
고요히 다물은 고양이의 입술에
[go-yo-hi da-mu-reun go-yang-i-ui ip-sul-e]
On the quietly closed lips of a cat,

포근한 봄의 졸음이 떠돌아라
[po-geun-han bom-ui jol-eum-i tteo-do-ra-ra]
The drowsiness of cozy spring floats about.


날카롭게 쭉 뻗은 고양이의 수염에
[nal-ka-rop-ge jjuk ppeo-deun go-yang-i-ui su-yeom-e]
On the sharply stretched whiskers of a cat,

푸른 봄의 생기가 뛰놀아라
[pu-reun bom-ui saeng-gi-ga ttwui-nol-a-ra]
The blue vitality of spring frolics.
