Remember, guys, jewelry will shine regardless of the scratches. A jeweler can buff the scratches out with a special buffing wheel made for this purpose. You will be amazed because, in most cases, it will look like new.

I understand that the way I cleaned my necklace can also cause scratches. I don't care if my necklaces get scratched. They can only be seen up close or if magnified.
