The Dilemma of Don't Buy It, You Don't Need It

I initially used the catchphrase “Don't Buy It, You Don't Need It” to heighten awareness of dangerous overspending habits. But over the years, I have seen it misapplied as a blanket statement. It does not apply in all cases. Of course, one would need to spend money for business needs, basic needs, certain wants and desires, and so on. In reality,
purchases are very personal decisions and unique to the buyer. But I want you to make those purchases responsibly in order to strengthen your financial standing. I don’t want to see consumerism bring people to ruins.

Ultimately, 'Don't Buy It, You Don't Need It' is too strong of a catchphrase for use by the general public. It becomes a pitfall when misinterpreted. I use it in my personal network, and we understand what we mean by it. But I can’t approach every stranger I hear using it incorrectly or misapplying the concept. So I’ve decided to end its use on the YouTube channel.
