Better Call Saul is an American legal drama television series created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould. A spin-off and prequel to Breaking Bad, the series stars Bob Odenkirk as Jimmy McGill, a struggling con artist-turned-lawyer whose transformation into the morally flexible criminal attorney Saul Goodman is chronicled across six seasons. The series also stars Jonathan Banks, Rhea Seehorn, Michael Mando, Giancarlo Esposito, and Michael McKean.

Development began shortly after Breaking Bad ended in 2013, with Gilligan and Gould returning to expand the universe.
