It was the end of our RV trip and we had just caught the Amtrak Coast Starlight passing Klamath Falls Station. As we were heading back to the RV, ready to start driving home, a train horn blared in the distance. We hastily got the drone (a DJI Mavic Mini) into the air as a UP Z train lead by an SD70AH made its way into the yard. As the intermodal cars passed by, my brother and I saw something strange. While most trailers were placed on the all purpose "spine cars," which were typically used for transporting them, a few were simply set inside wellcars. Apparently, those wellcars were designed as all-purpose just like the spine cars, but I still thought it was strange that they were inside wellcars, which I usually associated with intermodal containers.
