School Zones (Federal Law)
Within 1,000 feet of a K–12 school, federal law applies.
Arizona concealed carry permit holders are generally exempt. Without that exemption, one legal method of compliance is transporting the firearm unloaded and in a locked container or locked firearms rack.

Duty to Inform (Arizona)
Arizona does not have a general duty-to-inform law. You are not required to proactively tell law enforcement that you are carrying.
However, if an officer asks whether you are carrying a concealed deadly weapon, you must answer accurately.

Straw Purchases (Federal Law)
A “straw purchase” is not limited to buying a firearm for a prohibited person.
