'Lust For Life' Short Film - A Visual Narrative

For our Visual Narrative assignment, we were tasked with creating a 3 minute, silent short film. This is mine: 'Lust for Life'. I would like to dedicate this to Ruaridh, Euan and Kara - 3 friends of mine, from which this idea originated.

LOGLINE:

A loner boy is set on a dark path of lustful revenge and destruction when he is insulted by the university’s popular boy, a guy he not only despises but somewhat wishes he could be.

SYNOPSIS:

Character A is a recluse. He is a bit of a freak, has no real friends, doesn't speak out and keeps himself to himself. We follow him in his daily life and idiosyncrasies and learn of his isolated nature. One day when walking through the halls of his university, he sees the girl he has crushed on for years and her boyfriend - Character B. When A smiles at the girl, he is immediately shut down and insulted by B. However, this lingers with A - who has idolised the girl and B for some time, in envy and somewhat aspiring to be him. Hurt and upset by B’s comment, A decides to follow him home one day after class. And when the pair find themselves in the woods, a game of cat and mouse ensues as A seeks revenge and retribution for all the times B has put him down.
