Glacial Rivers - Footprints of the Ice Age: part 10 of 14
This segment describes striking similarities between meromictic lakes in Central New York and plunge holes along the Niagara River below Niagara Falls. Geological patterns in both locations illustrate how different rock formations continually exposed to moving water erode at different rates. Green Lake, Round Lake and Glacier Lake near Syracuse, NY are plunge holes similar to modern-day Devil's Hole in the Niagara Gorge.
